Metal Mouth
What do you think of a 26-year old with braces? Pretty hot, eh? Well, I am trying to believe that as I try to determine if the ol' smile needs 'em! Sadly, you really can't tell my teeth are that bad, it's more of a me critiquing myself so closely in the mirror each morning and night. The top (due to some wonderful plaster after my fifth chipping incident) are pretty straight. It's more of the bottom row, or as my orthodontist's assistant's picture so accurately captured...
...a disappearance of the bottom teeth.
The orthodontist and his office are all very nice people though I had a "Healthcare Administration" laughing moment. I come into the office, and the sweet receptionist shows me how to check-in. You have to go up to this computer screen and type your last name, then it brings up your appointment and you confirm that you are here. The sweet ol' lady explains to me that they had to do away with the old sign-in sheets at the desk due to HIPAA regulations. Anyone familiar with HIPAA? The most over-interpreted law taken to some of the weirdest extremes out of FEAR of what a violation of HIPAA could do to your small office. And the reason I laugh, after this woman explains to me the whole reason for this high tech investment for checking in patients, is on a message board in their lobby (the lobby shared with two other dentist offices) it said...Welcome to Today's Appointments: and it had my FULL NAME (among others!) in neon green for the world to read!! Ha! Love it!!

how brave to show that picture! I'll still love you if you get braces, I may just laugh at your pain occasionally. :) Since I had to deal with it about 11 yrs ago...
You know they have those clear braces now? that are like molded mountpieces? i think Jay has them... and he already had braces when he was younger and he let his teeth go back my not being a good boy and wearing his retaioner [can you see the money that flew out the window of my parent's pockets on that one...] good thing he is paying for it this time around!
